Right now I’m emailing from Palermo! We’re here for zone conference which is tomorrow! This keyboard I’m using is really awful and the shift key doesn’t even work, so I’m not really going to worry about it too much….
Starting off with some good news is that our investigator Riccardo [name has been changed] passed his baptismal interview!!! He is one investigator we convinced to come with us to Palermo to be interviewed and he wasn’t so sure about it, but he decided to have a little faith and give it a shot! He and President had a nice interview, and now he’s ready! He’ll be baptized on the 14th. We can’t wait!
Other than that it was a lot of the same stuff this week… We just dropped Riccardo back off at the bus station to send him back to Trapani. He is such a good guy.
Our highlight for finding this week is that after long hours on the street we found a return appointment and number from a young couple with two kids! They were super awesome and seemed very interested in what we had to say. The wife was actually from Russia! I mentioned to her that one of my sisters was adopted from Russia. She seemed to latch on to that piece of info!
We’re excited to be here in Palermo for zone conference! It feels like it’s been ages since the last zone conference.
Some bad news is I didn’t see the package while I was in the church, but it may show up tomorrow… It didn’t look like they had brought everything in to the chapel yet… Hopefully tomorrow they’ll have it all in there for us to pick up!
This week Ben and I went nuts and dropped £8,50 on a pizza. It was SOOOOO GOOOD. We decided it was near the end of the month and we had some extra dough left over so we went to blow it. We bought a pizza with mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto crudo, and sausage. SO good! It wasn’t worth £8,50 probably, but it was still fun!
Spring in 2016 for Italy sounds perfect. [We’re already planning our trip to go back with Craig!] In August and even July everyone starts going on vacation and lots of different things are closed. In fact it’s still not too hot yet and it’s already June! The Amalfi coast is awesome here. We’d definitely need to see that!
I like the TBIRD55 license plate the best, but they’re all good! [In response to Jeffrey’s question about which personalized license plate he should get for his 1955 Thunderbird that is STILL in Florida.] That trip to Alaska was awesome!
I’d better hurry up now so… What else…. I can’t think of too many other things. I’ll keep the quality of my camera up then.
I’m glad you made it back to the Miss Provo Pageant! I hope the show was good!
Ciao for now!
Francesco (a member of the branch) and Anziano Barrow. They are taking a lift up to Erice which is a town on a hill above Trapani.
Craig and Francesco. I think it’s cool that Francesco’s phone has an American flag on it.

Wikipedia calls this the main church. It also says that Erice was conquered by the Aghlabids in 831. I bet that church has been there for a long time.
